my camera died and wasn't charged for her "birthday party"
for memories sake, she had a princess cake. it was amazing.
she wanted spaghetti and root beer for dinner.
of course she got lots of clothes and shoes and phone calls from almost all family.
my big girl turned 5 and started preschool in the same day.
I am not sure why, but, i feel like the 5th birthday is a milestone. not only did she turn 5, she started school. dave took the day off of work so we could spoil our only girl. we ALL took her to school, hit up the dairy and mcdonalds after. like usual she got to do anything she wanted. Addie, is amazing. I don't give her enough credit for the good kid she is. she is always kind, has a huge heart, and looks out for her brother's. after we had Hudson we imagined the kids would get over the baby quickly. they didn't, she didn't. he is her buddy. she is a great helper, whether its grabbing a diaper or snuggling him. both her brother's adore her. so do her dad and i. addie, like gavin is sensitive and a little emotional. ALL GIRL. she loves dolls, pink, clothes, shoes, nail polish, everything lady like. she dances to her own tune and we all follow. she isn't sneaky, she doesn't tease, she adores everyone. i can honestly say the kid doesn't get into trouble often, if ever. we would be lost without her. as i am growing as a mother and my kids get older the relationships have changed. addie is my buddy, my best friend-dare i say. i had a rough day, a week ago, missing family and friends. i was hidden in my room crying and she came in, rubbed my back and told gavin to "give me some time", it was a moment i won't forget. she is an old sole that one.
i love that little girl, who is getting big and growing up way too fast. happy birthday my monkey girl!
