Our "short" drive....

She is always so happy!!!

Dave and Addie at Bridal Vail falls

I don't care what anyone says pictures at 8 months prego aren't good for the self esteem...

The car was washed the day before....

She was so happy to be out of the backseat...

Those eyes let her get away with a lot....

The homestead crater...not a place for strollers!!!

Dairy Keen in Heber....best shakes EVER!!!!

So since Dave and I haven't been able to spend a Saturday together forever we decided that we would go for a picnic and drive up Provo Canyon. The picnic didn't really happen (del taco as we were driving)...but we stopped at the falls and took some cute pictures and commented on how crazy we thought everyone was that was trying to get to the top. Once we were in the car I told Dave we could go ahead and drive the Alpine Loop, we were both kinda worried about my car sickness issue (thanks to my first pregnancy). Anyway we went....we got to mile marker 19 (its a 22 mile drive and we started at 22) and had both had about enough. Drivers are crazy the road is about 15 feet wide and is very curvy the speed limit is 20 and I can't tell you how many times we both let out a few choice words thanks to other drivers going about 40 around the blind turns. We ended up at Cascade Springs for a much needed potty break and then decided we would head home going through Midway and Heber....right as we were leaving the parking lot we commented on how many Jeeps there were covered in dirt...hmmm this is the next sign we saw....

It was 5 miles of a 50 foot drop off on my side and a unpaved road...we both got a kick out of it considering we thought it was going to be the easiest way home. We ended up down in Midway and I cheered when we hit pavement!!!! We stopped at the Homestead Crater a natural hot spring they were having diving lessons so we didn't stay long but is was interesting to see. After getting an amazing Raspberry Shake at Dairy Keen and talking about the dreams of having a boat as we passed Deer Creek Reservoir we came home...all very tired but happy with our Short 5 hour drive!!!
