THE FAIR.

august

i might love the perfect sway of Add's ponytail in this picture.

Gavin was walking with so much confidence through the barn, full of birds.
loud ones.  that stunk.
then this guy showed up and gobbled in g's face.

he turned to this and was carried the rest of the way.

at one point i looked down and found this. oops.
he was so quiet.

the biggest cow in the nw. something like that.
it was huge and again scary.  it didn't move and i convinced that it was paralyzed, thus the size.
dave told us a story of big bertha or something along those lines from when he was a kid.

thus the name fatty

he has his mama's lips.

this is what happens when you run around a park bench. for 5 min. after your mother says not to or you will get hurt.
you do (left knee).  your sister freaks out because of the blood and says you need a shot. you cry and get super pissed and ride in the stroller the rest of the night.

we went to the NORTHWEST WA FAIR.  its a big deal around these parts.
dave and i spent 2 hours walking through every barn on the property getting asked a million questions.
by the end we were honest.
cows are steak, pigs are hot dogs, and sheep make blankets.
the kids enjoyed it.
even in the pig barn, with all the maimed pigs screaming and witnessing what is the equivalent of the UFC between 3 pigs.
i had no idea they were so mean.
by the time we got to the horses i was sneezing and could barely see.
i hate hay.
we ate curly fries and scones. the kids hot dogs.
had cotton candy and carmel corn and made it out without letting kids ride a ride.
because we suck in that department.
germs, carnies, and price.
negative.
our bribery was ice cream on the way home.
it worked and the kids were happy.
gavin still asks every time we pass the fair grounds when it will be in town.
we pass it daily. twice.
