so while i was taking pictures in washington, we shot on a pier. you know those side walks made of wood that could technically collapse at anytime and make you plunge into the OCEAN. i might have a slight fear of open water and the hundreds of jelly fish that were feeding off the side did not console me one bit!

i just love the way this picture turned out.

dave took the kids to see the jelly fish and all gavin wanted to do was touch one. add was grossed out...those two couldn't be anymore different.

i edited this picture a little and i still love it. weird, i know.

i have not taken a single picture since we got back from our trip over thanksgiving. we have been busy. My parents came in town the first week in December so we got lots of grandpa time while my mom played with her cousins. we went and saw santa and actually got a good picture. neither of the kids smiled, but, lets be honest its better than crying. this last saturday we went on a date with our favorite people kenzi and nate. the goal was christmas lights at temple square. After driving around for a good hour trying to find parking (in their new car might i add. its the one i suggested!) we decided just to do dinner and forget the lights. dinner was ok, but, the company like usual was fantastic. its nice to know that dave has found a friend in Kenzi's husband. although he is a die hard Ute fan they are like two peas in a pod! we are in full swing of finals week. i think i hate it just as much as dave. we haven't seen much of each other since sunday and we are both tired and cranky. his last final is tomorrow and we are both counting down the min. next week we are headed to LV for 5 days to celebrate the holidays with my parents. this will be the first Christmas I have been home since I have had kids and i'm so excited. i love this time of year and the fact that addie gets it only makes it that much better. its so fun hearing her talk about santa and Jesus and all the things she has learned about both this month.
