so i never really had to baby proof with A, once she hit the stage of "curiosity" a nice firm no and she had no interest. no sticking things in outlets, no climbing, no mischief. I think our son has decided to take advantage of our ignorance. tonight he decided to pull down a tall lamp with a GLASS LAMP SHADE. of course it landed right on top of his forehead with force, a lot of it. i have never seen a goose egg appear so fast in my life. instantly green and literally the size of a golf ball. even dave got a little nervous about the impact. he seemed a little dazed, but, ok. about 45 min later after we put A in bed (he got out of going to bed on time because of a worried mother) dave and i were talking in our room. a sudden crash and I look over to see my son UNDER dave's night stand, pinned. he had tried to climb up to reach the LAMP of all things. one broken light bulb and two bruised shins later our little man wouldn't let mommy put him down. it was a rough night, but, he is still intact. oh the joy of a boy!
sorry for the bad picture is was taken on dave's cell, and no that isn't a black eye on the right its a weird glare...look at the size of that goose egg!!!! that picture was 5 min after it happened as you can tell he was very proud of his wound!
